PWB – Performers Without Borders
Performers Without Borders (PWB) would like to thank the BJC for their continued patronage. This year we are especially excited to be at the BJC because we want to talk to all about our new project PWB-UK (or PUK for short). Traditionally PWB has always worked internationally, but this year we are aiming to teach performing arts and circus skills to mentally, physically or financially disadvantaged young people (5-25yrs) all over the UK.
We have already worked with blind and deaf children and hope to also work with kids from deprived areas and and those with other disabilities. We are looking for partner organisations, collaborators and experienced workshop leaders.
We are also keen to support or conduct research and evaluations on the benefits of providing social circus, especially to disadvantaged youths. So come and have a chat, let us know your thoughts and experience and get some more detailed info at our stall where we will also be running a swap shop for you to buy and sell any 2nd hand equipment. We will add a small markup on the sale and this profit will go to support our valuable work.
